Marhsalls and Helpers info

What to Bring

  • Warm Clothes / Waterproofs
  • A drinks bottle
  • A reusable tea / coffee cup if you have one (saves disposables!)
  • A pen and / or pencil – you never know
  • Wellies if you feel appropriate
  • Your phone, charged 

If you are helping out PUTTING UP or DISMANTLING the course, please bring these IF YOU CAN 

  1. A set of cable snippers or similar pliers
  2. A Lump-hammer or mallet  
  3. Some gloves.  A lot of lifting about going on
  4. A roll of electrical tape or similar (you never know) 
  5. Protective / rough clothing and footwear 

 

When

On the Friday or Monday, you can just rock up.  Giving us as long as you can do would help but we know you have busy lives, like all of us.  There’s only a large handful of people on site Friday or Monday so just turn up / seek us out. 

If you’re on Saturday or Sunday you need to make yourself known to CRAIG TABINER – he’s on 07854 134428 at the time(s) in bold below – he will be at point 3 on the COURSE MAP here and will instruct you as to where to go. 

  • 08:00 to 12:45 on Saturday
  • 12:30 – 16:00 on Sunday
  • 09:15 to 13:15 on Sunday
  • 13:00 to 15:45 on Sunday

Where to Park

The main gates won’t be open most of Thursday or Friday – please park in the Offices car park down the “bottom corner” of the site next to the offices. 

If you’re marshalling or helping on Saturday or Sunday then please just park in the main event car park. 

What we will provide

We have the following for you on Saturday and Sunday

  • A set of brand new Hi-Viz marshal vests
  • Flags (Yellow and Red for Marshals) 
  • A Tea-Urn bubbling away and endless supply of Tea and Coffee, milk & sugar (maybe there on Friday too)
  • Flapjacks, Bread, butter and spreads, crisps etc. 
  • A set of 48 new whistles for marshals (nobody likes used whistles…!)
